Choir teacher Cherie Orf was chosen as Barnwell Middle School's 2016 Teacher of the Year. Francis Howell School District proudly announced the recipients of the distinguished honor of Teacher of the Year in February. This year’s winners will be recognized at the annual Howell of Fame awards ceremony on May 2, 2016.   more

When a Bulldog Flies – Barnwell Yearbook featured in book “Ideas that Fly”

One of the main focuses of any teacher is to make students think. Encouraging them to use their creativity and imagination to solve problems, or to just make common things better, is important to every teacher. Students at Barnwell Middle School, part of the Francis Howell School District (FHSD), used their creativity to make something better at their school – something they’ll always be able to remember. Their yearbook cover, and its theme of “Be a Hero,” was chosen to be included in a new book called Ideas that Fly.  more
